Getting to the Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary

The Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary and the Hanson Bay holiday accommodation is a 90 minute (140 kilometre) drive from Penneshaw and a 60 minute (100 kilometre) drive from Kingscote.

The Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary is off the South Coast Road and lies between Kelly Hill Caves and the Flinders Chase National Park in the south western corner of Kangaroo Island.

The Hanson Bay beachside holiday cabins are signposted on the South Coast Road just 5 kilometres after the Kelly Hill Caves. The Hanson Bay Sanctuary entrance is situated 8.5 kilometres west from the Kelly Hill Caves.

We suggest that you obtain a Kangaroo Island visitor information booklet, which includes a Kangaroo Island Map, from any Accredited Visitor Information Centre. This will assist you in planning for an enjoyable holiday on Kangaroo Island.
